The Light of My Life... Literally
The sun is a powerful and amazing thing. The fact that we are positioned perfectly in the solar system to sustain life is even more amazing. Life on earth is pretty darn good, considering that it's not covered in ice and it's not boiling hot. The sun sustains all of us on this planet. I love going out on sunny days and just enjoying the sunshine on my skin and the breeze in the trees. Truly, beautiful. But, apparently, this practice has health benefits and probably not the ones that you realize. Having vitamin D in your system actually REDUCES risk of cancer of ANY kind. Including skin. :) Happy sunny days!

Dear Sugar,
Chocolate mouse pie. Mini cheesecake bites with that cherry glaze. My mother's HEAVENLY strawberry pie. That delectable list is endless. If the list didn't make it obvious, I LOVE SUGAR. The way it can make your little heart melt is just amazing. Though it is beyond delightful, I know what is best for me and decided a couple weeks ago that I would cut sugar out of my diet to get me in shape and healthy. Little did I know that sugar is doing more damage to my body than I could have imagined (Why, sugar? WHY?). Sugar literally creates a love-hate relationship between you and your body. While your palate says YES your body screams NO. I just went to a website with an article describing all of the things that sugar does to your body and holy moly am I ready to never touch that stuff again! Of course I'll forget that in a few hours when I open the freezer and see ice cream staring me in the face, but you know what I'll say? "Saying no now makes me stronger for the next time."Check out this article!
